How we write, check, and update our articles
Our articles help New York City owners, tenants, and homeowners plan construction projects. This page explains who writes them, how we check facts, how we use AI, and how to report an error.

Who writes our articles
Articles are published under the name of Sanjay D., founder of Elite Construction Group and a former union foreman. Each article shows its author, the date it was published, and the date it was last updated. Read Sanjay’s profile.
How we research and cite
We rely on primary sources wherever they exist: NYC Department of Buildings rules and guidance, and NYC 311 and Department of Consumer and Worker Protection licensing pages. Every rule is linked to its source, and we name the publisher and date. We do not publish statistics we cannot trace to a source.
Pricing
Elite does not publish prices or cost figures. Material and labor costs change often and every project is different, so every job is quoted after a free site walk with a written, line-item estimate. Our articles explain what drives cost instead of quoting numbers that would go out of date.
How we use AI
Some drafts are prepared with AI assistance. A person checks every fact against the cited sources before publication, and each AI-assisted article says so. We do not use AI to invent experiences, quotes, reviews, or data.
Reviews and updates
We update articles when a rule, fee, or benchmark changes, and we change the “Updated” date only when the content changes in a meaningful way.
Independence
We do not publish sponsored content or paid placements, and our articles contain no affiliate links. When an article mentions Elite’s services, it is clearly ours.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email info@elitegroupnyc.com with the article link and what should change. We review every report and correct confirmed errors.
